Lifelong learning course on Urban Climate and Climate Change

Feb 19, 2021

Next Friday, March 11, the lifelong learning course of the UPC School (UPC), on Urban Climate and Climate Change begins.

The academic directors of the Lifelong learning course Urban Climate and Climate Change are the professors, Blanca Arellano Ramos, and Josep Roca Cladera, both researchers from the CPSV.

It is a face-to-face course of the UPC School (UPC).

Do you think that our cities are adapted to changes in climate? There are significant differences in temperature between urban and rural areas, which is why the ‘Urban Heat Island’ (UHI) phenomenon is taking more and more prominence, due to the morphological characteristics, the materials used, and the waterproofing of the soil in cities.

In the face-to-face lifelong learning course on Urban Climate and Climate Change, the design and planning of urban planning adapted to the environmental needs of the future is studied, in the cosmopolitan environment of Barcelona.
